SOME REASONS PEOPLE SEEK THERAPY:

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD can involve intrusive thoughts, excessive doubt, compulsive behaviors, or a persistent need for certainty and reassurance. Therapy can help individuals better understand these patterns and develop a healthier relationship with uncertainty, fear, and intrusive thoughts.

Substance Use & Addiction

People often turn to substances or other behaviors as a way of coping with stress, emotional pain, loneliness, or difficult life experiences. Therapy offers a space to explore these patterns with honesty and compassion while developing healthier ways of coping and living in alignment with your values.

Meaning, Purpose & Identity

Sometimes people seek therapy not because of a specific diagnosis, but because they feel disconnected, stuck, or uncertain about their direction in life. Therapy can provide an opportunity to explore questions of meaning, purpose, identity, and what truly matters to you.

Caregiver Stress & Burnout

Caring for a loved one can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be emotionally and physically exhausting. Therapy can provide support, perspective, and a space to care for yourself while navigating the demands of caring for others.

Self-Esteem & Self-Worth

Many people struggle with self-criticism, feelings of inadequacy, or a sense that they are never quite enough. Therapy can help identify these patterns, develop self-compassion, and build a healthier relationship with yourself.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

Anxiety can show up as excessive worry, racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, or a constant sense of being on edge. Therapy can help you better understand anxiety and develop practical tools for managing it more effectively.

Depression & Feeling Stuck

Depression can affect mood, motivation, energy, and the ability to find enjoyment in daily life. Therapy offers support, understanding, and a path toward reconnecting with what matters most.

Grief & Loss

Grief is a natural response to loss, but it can often feel isolating and overwhelming. Therapy provides a space to process loss, honor what is meaningful, and navigate the changes that accompany grief.

Trauma & Recovery

Traumatic experiences can continue to affect how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others long after the event has passed. Therapy can help foster healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of safety and connection.

Relationship Challenges

Relationships can be one of the greatest sources of fulfillment as well as one of the greatest sources of pain. Therapy can help improve communication, deepen understanding, and navigate challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Chronic Illness & Health Challenges

Living with a chronic illness, chronic pain, or ongoing health concern can affect every aspect of life, including mood, relationships, identity, and daily functioning. Therapy can provide support in adapting to these challenges while maintaining a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Life Transitions

Major life changes—whether expected or unexpected—can bring uncertainty, stress, and emotional upheaval. Therapy can help you navigate transitions with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-understanding.
